DSAA's website is under construction, we hope to have a new and improved website by the end of July!!

  • Welcome
The  Down Syndrome Association of Acadiana provides support to persons with Down syndrome, their families and friends through networking, promotion of positive public awareness, information sharing and advocacy.

Under the direction and leadership of a Board of Directors who are all volunteers, DSAA provides information for families of newborn babies with Down syndrome, through adulthood as well as current and unbiased information to professionals.  DSAA conducts regular educational meetings, hosts social events, publishes a regular newsletter, advocates for the rights of individuals with Down syndrome and provides support to families of individuals with Down syndrome.  The largest awareness event in the Lafayette area is the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome Awareness hosted by DSAA each October.  You can learn more about this event by clicking on the Buddy Walk tab within this website.  You can learn more about upcoming events by clicking of the Calendar of Events tab.

Feel free to contact the organization at any time if you have any questions or need additional information that is not located within this website.  We look forward to meeting you and your family!
